Melinda Hughes is a Weimar specialist and political satirist. She has performed with her co-writer Jeremy Limb at numerous International Festivals, as well as on TV and BBC radio 4 with Barry Humphries. Her two CDs Smoke and Noise and Weimar & Back (Nimbus) won critical acclaim in The US and UK and her dramatic musical ‘Margo half woman, half beast’ about the Berlin Cabaret star Margo Lion received five star reviews at the 2018 Edinburgh Fringe.
Melinda has performed at The Metropolitan Room New York, Holders Festival Barbados, The Hay Festival, Government House Bermuda, Cadogan Hall London, Crazy Coqs Zedel, Canal Theatre Cafe and The Pheasantry London. Her show ‘Off the Scale’ ran at the Assembly Rooms as part of the 2019 Edinburgh Fringe. She was one of the top three finalists in the FUNNY WOMEN awards for best show 2019.
